Dear Brethren:-

Your letter to me of the 2nd. inst. on railroad matters has been received in which you state that certain clerks tell you they will buy your due bills & give you half their value, & also asking my counsel on the subject.

My advice to you is to hold on to the due bills those who want to buy them anew that they are good.

Keep them yourselves. Go to work independent of this means as if it were not due to you & when you get it, (as I believe you will) it will then appear to you all the more valuable.
