Dear Bro:-

Yours of the 14th. inst. has been received wherein you ask President Brigham Young to grant you passes on the Railroad for your Mother & yourself.

The President has gone south on a month's visit, but I will say that as his work on the Railroad has been completed for some time, his power to grant passes has gone past.

I would suggest to you to write to Bishop Harrington, since you say your property was left in his care; it is very probable that he could do something for you.

Your Brother in the Gospel
