Your letter to President Brigham Young has been received. He has gone from home for a few weeks but he will see your letter on his return.

I would suggest however that you should have stated the kind of work in which you are engaged in the Machine Shop, as he would then know in what Department to enrol your name on the list of Applicants, however you can do so yet if you feel disposed.
