Dear Sir:-

In your final Estimate of the President's work in Echo there is an omission to credit John Harvey with 114 11/27 yds. culvert masonry. In September last, he made some culverts at sundry places in Echo -- cutting through the grade I understand, and was credited in our September estimate 1160 yds earth c 30 and 114 11/27 yds culvert masonry, and I paid him accordingly. He holds a final statement of his work signed by the engineer, and it agrees with the above figure; -- but in the Final he is credited with only the earth, the masonry having evidently been omitted. This changes the Total culvert masonry in Echo from 2204.6 to 2319.0 yds.

The above, and an omission referred to in the accompanying letter, dated 29th ult. are the only errors I have found in the Echo estimates.

Most respectfully Yours
