I was instructed by Prest Brigham Young, just as he was about to leave home on a lengthy tour; to call your attention to what he considered a very essential improvement in your Submerged Pump; that was, -- to substitute a collar in place of the Thumb screw.

As I have never seen the Pump I cannot tell what is meant exactly, but I have no doubt you will readily comprehend it.
