Pacific Pump Manufacturing Co.
San Francisco.

You will please forward me as soon as possible 2 of your Submerged Pumps, viz 1 of Size No. 1 & 1 of Size No. 2. both Iron galvanized, also 50 ft. piping for each, with the necessary number of friction rollers.
I wish also about 4 ft. extra for the pump. Size No. 0. which you sent me.
I am not certain which size will be the most suitable, I therefore send for these 2. (as I already have size 0.) to determine.

I would remind you of the improvement suggested in my last, namely a collar in place of the thumb screw-- say about 4 in. wide. made in 2 halves firmly bolted together, to which the hinge should be attached; this would, in my judgement give greater strength than the thumb-screw. Consign to "H. B. Clawson Esqr. Salt Lake City," care of Calder & Co. Taylor's Mills." I will send draft for amount.

Yours with respect
Brigham Young
