Your communication of the 21st inst. has been received, wherein you state that Prest. Richards & Bishop West strongly advise you to break up your present business-- this meets my mind precisely.

Of course you can continue or not, as you think proper, but, after this counsel & the establishment of the Co-operative Institution in Ogden, it is not probable that your business will be attended with much success.

I would therefore advise you to settle up your Tithing according to agreement, satisfactorily with the Brethren & conform to their counsel with the least possible delay.

The President has gone to Provo. consequently does not sign this, but it is written by his dictation. although probably less emphatic.
