Dear Bro:-

According to the books of Bro. H. B. Clawson, Agent at N. Y. last year, there is a balance of several hundred Dollars yet due from the Continental Bank, which should be placed to your credit, but as we do not know the exact amount, bro Clawson does not want to draw a check for it, but you are desired to call and get a statement if possible showing how much is yet due, or otherwise learn from the Bank what the exact balance is, and it will be attended to here forthwith.

Please ascertain and let me know as soon as possible.

Very truly yours

T. W. Ellerbeck
