Dear Bro:-

I wish you to see that the case between John H. Freeman and Richard Ballantyne has a re-hearing & that the parties concerned have opportunity to bring forth all the evidence they wish to introduce so as to arrive at a just decision.

Bro. Freeman brought to my Office a Copy of Minutes of High Council trial in the case which are not signed & are therefore not valid. He states that he was cut off the Church for declaring his intention to carry the case before the First Presidency. I would like to know what are the facts in the case. He further
states that he is in a destitute condition might not a portion of the amount due him by Bro. Ballantyne be paid now to relieve his necessities.

Your brother in the Gospel

Brigham Young
