Dear Brethren:-

Yours of the 10th inst has been received.

I have requested the brethren who were engaged on the Railroad, on my contract, to report to this Office a detailed account in proper form of all such items as those you mention, & this I have done repeatedly, verbally & by circular, intending to submit such accounts to the proper authorities when that business was settling up. If you will draw up your account in form forthwith-- & forward it here, I will present it.

When the Company pays, we will pay, but no settlement has been made yet, neither do I know how soon there will be, but the prospects are fair that the money will be forthcoming at no very distant date.

Your brother in the Gospel
Brigham Young
