Your communication of the 29th ult. has come to hand; I had not received your previous letter having been from home, and when it did arrive, a press of matter prevented its being brought up sooner.

I am not aware of any further effort being made at the present time to import Stock. The attention of the people being strongly
their lands.

I would be much pleased to have the Cache       produced here if the people
