Yours of the 18th inst. has been received. It is from no disparagement to you that Franklin S. Richards was nominated for County Recorder, but, because it is important that the Records should be kept in proper condition, and Franklin S. under the supervision of his father was thought competent to do this, and he had plenty of spare time, while yours was too much occupied apparently to do the work properly.
