Dear Bro:-

The Account you sent against W. S. Godbe is correct with the exception that he should be credited with Dft on Sands & Co Aug 14. 1866 £100 which he states he paid to B Young jr, and which B. Young jr acknowledges to be the fact and says he brought it over with him when he came home. This leaves him in debted 3/3 which he will remit to you.

Enclosed is B Young's Dft #1968 £35.12.3 to be credited to E. S. Butterfield in full of yr a/c rendered against him.

Yesterday I remitted to W. C. Staines, Agent at New York Dft for Four Thousand Currency Dollars ($4000.00) on your account and it is charged to Lpool office, you will therefore charge it to him (as tho' it had first been sent to you and you had remitted it to him) If we can get any more money it will be forwarded, but we are obliged to advance money so as to secure the entry of land now, and we are very
short.

Yours truly

T. W. Ellerbeck
