President's Office,
Salt Lake City,
Aug. 4. 1869.

Mr. Hans Westenskow,
Manti,
Dear Bro:--

Your letter of 2nd inst. to Prest. B. Young is received. You are right in saying that you received a draft for the money (No. 1606 £14.4.0.) Now, inasmuch as that draft was your own personal property, and was payable at sight, to your own order, no person can draw the money on it, at No. 42, Islington, Liverpool, unless you ordered it, or in other words, endorsed it, by writing your name on the back of it; and if so disposed of said draft, and sent it to Denmark, or elsewhere,-- it will be necessary for you to write to the person to whom you sent the draft, or who may have possession of it now, if you wish to get it back. (as Prest. Young has no further control of it) and if the person holding the draft returns it to you, we will be pleased to pay you the money of presentation.

Your bro. in the Gospel

T. W. Ellerbeck
