Gentlemen:-

Yours of the 2nd inst. has been received. With regard to my naming some one as agent for the "Conn. Mutual Life Insurance Co." I will say that the subject of Life Insurance is not popular in this Territory. There are now more Insurance Agents here already than circumstances warrant, and to increase the number would therefore be superfluous.
