To all the Employees of Zions Cooperative Mercantile Institution
Salt Lake City.

Dear Brethren:-

Inasmuch as it is a well understood Rule of this Institution, that the tithe of the Income, or Profits, of the Proprietors of this Institution, shall be faithfully paid over to the Church and Kingdom of God, for the building up of the same, -- it is also my wish, and counsel, that all the Employees thereof, without exception, shall do the same, by passing the tithing of their respective salaries to the credit of the Trustee in Trust, each and every month, so that it may be available as it is needed.

Your Brother,

Brigham Young
