Your letter to President Young of the 5th inst. with two hundred and eighty dollars currency is received.

Enclosed please find draft No 1980 on A. Carrington Esq. 42 Islington, Liverpool, England, for £39.18.6 Sterling.

As we invariably make our drafts payable to the order of the party who sends the money, it will be necessary for you to sign your name under the endorsement which I have written on the back of the draft, then forward to John Kay's address in England, and the money will be paid to him on presentation of the draft.
