December 10. 1869.

To the hands employed on the Utah Central Rail-road.

The Board of Directors of the U. C. R. R. have this day decided to dismiss the hands employed laying track until iron enough shall have accumulated to lay, at least 6 miles of a stretch -- when track laying will be resumed.

The Board appreciate the labours of the men engaged & take this occasion to congratulate them for their hearty co-operation in the work, which has neccessarily been carried on under adverse circumstances.

Trusting, at the same time, that, when work shall be resumed they will be on hand to complete it.
