Dear Sir:-

I received from the U P R R Co at Boston, on account of my work on the Railroad, -- four notes, at 4. 5. 6. 7 months, amounting to over $230,000. signed by Oliver Ames, President, and John M. S. Williams, Treasurer, They are of too large amounts for convenient use, and I wish to know if I can let you have them, and get as I may require from time to time, your official drafts in smaller amounts, payable, at the same times, and drawing the same 7% int. If you cannot do this without further instructions, would you be so good as obtain the necessary authority by telegraph if you can do so, and oblige,

Respectfully Yours,

Brigham Young
