Dear Sir:--

Yours of the 22nd ult. offering your services as "a first class dancing-master" has been received.

I am not desirous, personally, of employing any one of that profession, at present; neither can I give you any encouragement. Times are dull, & we have dancing-masters among us, more or less accomplished, but they follow other avocations for a livelihood.
