To the Presiding Elders & Bishops throughout the Territory & the Saints generally:-Elder James S. Brown, the bearer of this, has for five years, been suffering under a heavy affliction & is now unfit for manual labor, but desiring to do something for the support of his family, and having been requested by some of the Bishops to travel & preach in their respective wards. I invite all who may wish to assist Elder Brown. to receive him as an Elder in Israel who has been set apart to preach to, & instruct the Saints in righteousness. Praying God to bless Elder Brown & all who receive him & administer to his comfort, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
