Dear Sir:-

Yours of the 2nd inst. for advice has been received.

As a minister of the Gospel, my advice is now, & has been for over thirty seven years to all men to repent of their sins, receive the ordinance of baptism for the remission thereof, & become members of the church & kingdom of God.

We are sending out quite a number of missionaries to the east this season, some of whom will probably visit your section. You will thus have, an excellent opportunity for conversation on the subject, as, if so disposed, a little inquiry will enable you to ascertain their address.
