Dear Sir:--

I understand that there is an amount of Fifteen Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Six Dollars Sixteen cents ($15826.16) due to the U. P. R R Co for transportation of emigrants under the direction of W. C. Staines Esq. on my account. I am willing to have the sum apply on the indebtedness of the U P R R Co to me for unpaid claims or on their Promissory note No 791 for $57,669.53. which I trust will be acceptable as the money was due to me over one year ago as you may be aware.

Very truly Yours,
Brigham Young
