Lycoming Co. Penn.

Dear Sir:

Yours of the 18th ult. has been received, which business has prevented answering till now.

It is now over 22 years since I first entered this Territory & from that time my labors have been devoted exclusively to the development of our home interests, nor have I ever had any inclination to travel elsewhere.

I thank you for your courtesy, however, & will take occasion to say that my son Brigham Young Jr is now in Philadelphia for a short visit, as well as other Elders, many of them, gentlemen of more or less experience in travel & all of whom are well conversant with Utah matters. By writing to my son, 1315, Coates St. Phil. he will take pleasure in furnishing you with the names of such, or if desired, will probably lecture for you himself.

Yours with respect

Brigham Young
