Dear Sir:-

Yours of the 16th ult. has been received.

It was an oversight in my letter not to relate to the Immigration Fund which will describe.

This fund is employed to immigrate the Latter-day Saints who are unable to pay their own way & as our means are limited, great discretion is necessary to determine who shall be assisted. The finances are too low, now, to warrant any promises, & collections are not made until the Spring, & whether we will have any immigration this year is uncertain.

I was pleased to hear of your having played on our organ, though you say nothing of its capabilities, do you consider them first class? or, how will they rate? & where was the exhibition held? Awaiting your answer, I am

Yours with respect

D. McKenzie
