Dear Bro:-Yours of the 1st inst. was only received last night.

I would take the land in question at a fair valuation, though I consider $50.00 an acre would be amply
remunerative & provide you with a handsome capital to purchase & furnish a good farm.

I would not be able to pay the amount down, but would pay a portion soon, and the whole as we might agree.

Whether you sell to me or any other of the brethren is a matter I care little about; but I object to the
brethren selling land indiscriminately to outsiders, & will sustain the action of the Authorities in this matter.
