Notice of the amount of Tax assessed against the Trustee in Trust of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, under date of the 17th inst. has been received.

As I have no knowledge of any grounds authorizing such assessment, I would be pleased to have an extension of time granted, sufficient to hear from the Commissioner of Internal Revenue at Washington, to whom I will write at once for an explanation.
