Dear Sir.

In reply to your favor of Dec. 26th to Prest B. Young, permit me to say that Mrs Cleaveland, of whom you enquire, moved from Quincy where you last saw her to the city of Nauvoo, where she resided until the Latter-day Saints were expelled by mob violence from that city. The trials, the sufferings and hardships of the journey west told heavily on her and she eventually moved to some place in Illinois where her friends resided, where she died many years ago. Her husband and son are also dead, but she has a daughter living, named Augusta, who is the wife of Mr. John L. Smith a highly respected citizen of this territory, whose residence is Fillmore City. Millard Co.

Yours Very Respectfully
Geo. Reynolds
Clerk to Prest Young
