D.E. Buel Esqr.
Utah Mining and Smelting Works.

Dear Sir;
Yours of the 1st inst. addressed Prest. Utah Southern and Central Rail Road, in relation to the construction of the Utah Southern R.R. and branch road only came to hand last evening, to which I hasten to reply.

I understand that it is the intention of the Directors to push the work, vigorously, just as soon as the weather will permit. The Surveyors are organizing and will commence their work, we trust, shortly.

It will give me pleasure to lay your proposition before the Board at their very first meeting.

Yours with respect
