President's Office,
March 13, 1871.

Mr. S.B. Rose.

Dear Bro.-Your note of to-day just received. I am sorry to hear of Sister Rose's renewed attack of sickness.

With regard to the chair you speak of I am perfectly willing you shall have it, but it has just been re-stuffed and re-covered, and it seems to be usual that each time this is done (now some six times) the chair has been borrowed and more or less injured.

There are 2 others, just like it, 1 at Willard Richards,' the other at Heber C. Kimball's, probably neither in use. If you cannot get one of these, you can have mine, but whoever borrows it, must return it in as good a condition as when taken away.

Your Bro. in the Gospel.
