W. Hyde Esq.
Probate Judge of Cache Co.

Dear Brother: There is a case in Cache Co. which came here in the person of Samuel M. Price, whose wife left him while he was on a mission in England. The Bishop it appears settled the matter, by giving her personal property and the homestead, for the maintainance of her three children. All this is, undoubtedly known to you, as are other circumstances in the case. I think it would be prudent and best for the Probate Court to take cognizance of this affair, settle the matter legally and make a record, in the court, of the same.

Very Respectfully.
Brigham Young
