Dear Bro:-Your note of recommendation in favor of Bro. Benzin has been received.

Bro. Benzin is a man I think a good deal of, and apart from his associations with women I have considered him very much of a gentleman, but I do not believe him to be capable of properly taking care of more than one wife.

He was positively counselled not to marry his second wife, and, to have nothing whatever to do with her, but he did have to do with her, and, if I am correctly informed, he had illicit intercourse with her before marriage.

Under these circumstances I cannot approve of his taking another wife now, at least until he can reconcile and be reconciled with the two wives he has already.

Your Brother in the Gospel.
