Bishop Oliver <H> Hoskins
Portage City. Malad.

Dear Bro:-

Sister Augusta Gardner called on me yesterday & stated, in substance, as follows: She is the wife of Christopher Gardner of Portage City, that she has had no assistance from him since he went to Malad, more than a few pounds of butter on one occasion. She wants help to support herself. She proposes that if he will send her $20.00 now, to pay her house rent, she will move to Bear Lake & endeavour to support herself. Business was so bad last winter, she ran into debt. We would like to have you give this matter your attention and try and get something done for her support.

Ever praying for the welfare of Israel. I remain Your brother in the Gospel.
