Mr. John R. Moyle.

Dear Bro:-

Your communication to me of the 20th inst. was duly received.

We always feel sorry to hear of difficulties among the Saints, especially in the family circle, which ought to be, above all places, the abode of peace, comfort & happiness.

There is this about your case, however, as you represent it. The difficulty exists more in the imagination than in the reality, as the facts are simply these:-- Sister Moyle will never be compelled to return to Bro. West, either in time or eternity. If she prefers you as her husband, she will have the privilege of being your wife, and staying with you as long as you remain faithful.

There is great consolation in knowing that we have to do with a just and a merciful God whose dealings with his children will not be tyrranical or unkind, but full of sympathy and love.

Let Sister Moyle rest assured of this, and strive, by faith and diligence and a conscientious performance of all the duties devolving upon her, to meet the approbation of high heaven, and this course will soon bring her a content mind.

Ever praying for the welfare of Israel I remain
Your Bro. in the Gospel
