Elder Wm D. Johnson.

Dear Bro:

I have received a telegram from your brother Joseph E. Johnson stating that he had just received a letter from you asking him to answer a telegram I sent to you with regard to the purchase of your lot in the 15th Ward.

My proposition was to pay you $5000.00 for the lot, for the use of the U.C.R.R. as we are cramped for depot room. I understood you offered the place to Bro. LeBarron for that sum and I supposed you would be willing to sell it to me for the same price, but it would seem from your brother's telegram that you ask $8000.00 If that is the case I do not want it, but if you want $5000.00 for it you can have it, and that is all I can afford to give.

Your Bro. in the Gospel
