Dear Bro:

Yours of the 8th inst. has been received. I am sorry to hear of the difficulty you allude to; unpleasantness in families is always a source of regret to me, for if peace and harmony does not exist in the family circle, it makes the members themselves unhappy and has a bad effect on neighborhoods.

My impression after reading your letter is, that you do not treat your wife as you ought to do. If this is so, you should try to remedy it and create in her a better feeling towards yourself.

Woman's nature craves affection, she must have Man's love and society, or she cannot be thoroughly happy, and nothing will disappoint her more than to be denied this. Treat her lovingly, take her to your bosom, give her every privilege a wife ought to have, and when you have done this, and maternity begins you will find that her feelings will not be than as you say they are now. You say your wife complains you are too fast with her, my opinion is, she means you are too slow.
