Mrs. Major Powell & Mrs. Thomson now resident in this City, arranged with their husbands, engaged exploring the Colorado. to forward letters & parcels for them to Uintah, from here by way of Heber City, relying on your assistance.

I wish you would give this matter your prompt attention, and see that any parcel sent in your care by these ladies for Uintah, is forwarded with expedition and safety, either by Indians, if you have one who is reliable, or by a white man.

The Major will pay all expenses.
