Dear Sir,

Your interesting letter arrived just as Prest. Young was about starting on a somewhat lengthy tour; he desired me to write to you, however, & to state that while he appreciated the great candor of your remarks, it was evident our mind would be much disabused by a visit among our people where you could see & hear for yourself independently of newspaper reports; and that he hoped should you ever visit here, as you intimated was not improbable, he would be pleased to have you call on him.

Yours very respectfully,

D. McKenzie
