Dear Sir,

Your letter to Prest. Young arrived just previous to his starting on a lengthy tour, and he had not time to answer it personally; he remarked to me, however, when I read the letter to him, "say to the gentleman that, at the time he alludes to, Heber C. Kimball & myself were travelling from Illinois to New York on our mission to England. & I recollect that on the stage coach was a gentleman,-- a lawyer, who was accompanied by 2 girls."

It may be of some interest to you to know, (if you are not already aware of the fact) that Heber C. Kimball is dead. He died a little over three years ago.

Yours with respect

D. McKenzie
Secty. Prest. B. Young
