Dear Sir,

Your invitation to Prest. B. Young to lecture in Boston, with accompanying letter from Mr. St. Clair, arrived while the Prest. is from home on a tour through the northern portion of the Terry. the receipt of which it is my duty to acknowledge. The Prest. has received hundreds of invitations to lecture in the States, within the past few years, and he has had one uniform answer to all, viz: His duties here are of such a nature, that is to say, he travels incessantly throughout this Territory whenever he can spare time from this City, as to render it impossible for him to visit elsewhere. Of course I shall read your letter to him on his return, as well as that of our friend Mr. St. Clair, & what the result may be, it is not for me to say, but I am certain he will appreciate the kindness of your offer, whether he accepts or declines.

Yours with respect,
D. McKenzie, Secty Prest B. Young
