Mr. J. L. Rigdon,
Pleasant Hill, Mo.

Dear Sir,

Your letter to me of the 27th June reached this city while I was absent from home on a tour through some of the northern settlements. On my return it was brought to my notice, and I was much pleased to think of your father's visiting the headquarters of the Church before he passed away, and I believe the people at large would be very glad to see him. If he is disposed to come here, and you will bring him, we will refund you the necessary means.

Hoping to hear from you again at an early date.

Your Bro. in the Gospel
Brigham Young
