Dear Sir,

Your letter to Prest. B. Young arrived here while he was absent on a tour through some of our settlements.

As Mr. Wm. C. Staines, one of our agents is in your city, & is well versed in all that pertains to our religion, society, &c. I think it would be infinitely <preferable> for you to call on him for the information you desire, which he will not only cheerfully afford you, but also give you very many interesting items that could hardly be communicated in a letter.

I think Mr. Staines stays at the Steven's House, in N. Y. City, however, his P.O. Address is "Box 3957. N. Y. City."

Yours with respect
D. McKenzie Secty. Prest. B. Young.
