Mr. Peder Rasmussen,
Salina, Sevier Co.

Dear Bro:

Before Prest. Young started for Provo he instructed me to write to you that the people of Salina were welcome to appropriate the tithing for this year for the purpose of building your School House. He further instructed me to inquire whether you are taking proper measures to secure your land, and particularly the townsite, recommending that you homestead and pre-empt your farming land without delay, if it has not already been done. Praying for your peace and prosperity in common with all Israel.

I remain
Your Bro. in the Gospel

D. McKenzie
