U. T. Sept. 4. 1871.

S. R. Dickson, Esq.
New Haven, Ct.

Dear Sir,

Yours of the 21. Augt. was duly received.

In my former letter to you I find that the name of the Mayor of S. L. City was inadvertently overlooked, although I had intended to give it when I wrote because I much prefer that youl'd apply to the City authorities for the required information I am not posted with regard to their views and intentions, and my opinions alone would simply go for nothing.

Gen. Daniel H. Wells is Mayor of S. L. City You will find the City Authorities sound & reliable, as the facts of the City Authorities sound & reliable, as the facts of the City being entirely free from debt, and under a very limited tax may serve to indicate,

Respectfully
D. McKenzie.
