Dear Sir,

Yours of a recent date to Prest. Young concerning the purchase of wool has been received. It would have been answered immediately but was mislaid. The Prest. instructed me to write to you the facts in the case, which are briefly these: We have nothing like sufficient wool for our own factories, and certainly do not want to export any. On the contrary, some of our Manufacturers contemplate sending to Montana for wool. We trust, however, in the course of a few years not only to raise wool enough for home consumption, but to export it largely.

Yours with respect dddD.

McKenzie
