Dear Brother:--

Your favor of 3d inst came duly to hand. If you should pass that $2000.00 to Carrington's credit just as you do when you receive it from here, it will be all right. I can then credit it to you as Agent on a/c of Profits on Emigration and charge to Liverpool Office; the same as if it was sent from here. If you do this, advise me to that effect-- that you have done so, and I will make the entries accordingly. We are quite short of funds at present.
