Sir, It is probable by this time Mr. James W. Cummings has seen you about making for me a shaft, rim, buckets &c. for a certain water wheel. Since he left, we have concluded to change the thickness of the rim and the buckets as specified on the drawing, believing that 1/4 of an inch for the rim and 3/16 of an inch for the buckets will be sufficiently strong.

If you have undertaken the work you will please give this your attention, and I would like to hear from you on receipt of this whether you have it on hand.
