Elder George F. Gibbs,

Dear Brother,
You are hereby authorized and appointed to proceed to Liverpool, England, without delay, and place yourself under the direction of Prest. Albert Carrington, so that Elder A. W. Carlton may be released from his duties in the Liverpool Office.

We exhort you to be fervent and diligent in the discharge of every duty that may be assigned to you, and to walk with humility before our Heavenly Father and those who will preside over you, having every in view the up-building of the Kingdom of God, that your reward hereafter may be eternal life.

We pray that you may be blessed in this mission, and that you may be preserved unspotted from the world, to return in peace and safety, when your work shall have been completed,

Brigham Young
