Sir,

Your letter of this inst. has received my consideration and in reply I will say, that I have no objection to your delivering according to your contract, the ammunition and other goods bought of Mr. Howard Livingston for Mr.Irvine and others to trade with Indians far north of us in Oregon, provided you will give me a sufficient guaranty that said Irvine and others will not trade any ammunition to any hostile Indians, and that it will be taken directly to the place designated in your letter to me.

Respectfully,

Brigham Young
