Elder Wm. McFadgen,
Salina, Sevier Co.

Dear Bro: Your letter to me of Oct. 24. was mislaid or I would have answered it sooner. All I can say about the matter now is that Prests. B. Young & Geo. A. Smith were sitting in the office & both heard me read Bro. Asmussen's letter to the Prest. & the Prest. replied, "tell him, certainly, we are willing this year's tithing should be used for the School House;" Prest. Smith endorsed the statement & added in Prest. Young's hearing, "tell them to secure their lands, particularly the town site, if they have not already done so."

You are at liberty to use this or my former letter as you please, and if Bishop Higgins says there is any mistake about the matter won't you please to ask him for his authority for saying so and let me know it.

Your Bro. in the Gospel
D. McKenzie
